I have played and beaten both of these games many times. I just like them both so much. The handheld Zelda games don't have the same emotional impact on me as the N64 ones do. LOZ: OOT was one of the greatest games of all time. LOZ: Majora's Mask improved on some of OOT's mechanics and increased the difficulty, but it wasn't as new and fresh as OOT. The storyline for Majora's Mask was darker, but all the more enjoyable. It's so hard to choose a favorite, but if I had to pick one it would be Majora's Mask. It seemed to be much more personal than OOT (at least to me). What do you think? What's your fav?

I think I'd have to say the same for me! ^_^ I LOVED Majora's Mask, though the whole 'your items will be reset every time you do the song of time' thing took some getting used to. It's true that OoT was a serious breakthrough, but for me, MM was just so colorful and the replay value was so fantastic! I think I've beaten the game atleast seven times. >_<

Yeah that game is fantastic. I'm just so used to people saying OOT is better and that they don't like MM.. I don't understand why! I liked all those sidequests like Anju & Kafei and talking to the Skull Keeta.

What was your favorite boss from the game? One thing I also liked about the game was its creative bosses, and how they were more directly tied into the story. In OoT, while it was, of course, necessary to kill the bosses, they didn't serve much purpose other than being obstacles.

Then again, Kotake and Koume (y'know, the ones who merge into Twinrova?) they were different from the other OoT bosses, and considering their role in the Zelda series, its no surprise...

Hm, I'm not sure.. Odolwa was very easy, Goht was not hard but it took a long time, I didn't like the fish one (made me mad), the sand one.. I'd have to say Majora's Mask because it finishes the story and was the most satisfying to beat.

I thought Goht was a fun boss. Just for kicks, I'd go back and face him, because I liked the constant motion and the speed.

Goht was fun, yeah, but it took so many hits to take him down. After figuring out how to hit him without getting hit back, I was thinking "OK I get the idea now die already" lol.

Yes I suppose he was a bit tedious... ;D
Gyorg was worse though. I hated trying to fight him on the platforms. I think I went at him with the Zora mask instead. Twinmold was by far the hardest boss...atleast, without the Giant's Mask. Have you ever tried defeating him without the mask?

I couldn't defeat the fish boss without sinking to the bottom to damage him. I had to get the x2 armor because I kept getting swallowed. And no, I have only used the Giant's Mask against Twinmold. It's too hard otherwise.

Bombs. You throw the bombs at just the right moment for damage. It helps if you have the bunny hood. But really, it's just something people do for the heck of it...like the three day challenge. THAT one I haven't tried yet.

3-day challenge? I'm assuming that's where you fight all the bosses and save the world in one cycle? It shouldn't be too hard once you get the Great Fairy sword and are able to warp to the bosses' rooms.

Oh? So you don't know about the Three Day Challenge? And here I thought everyone knew about it...well, no I'm afraid to say that isn't as simple as getting the boss masks and the fairy sword...Ya see, you LITERALLY need to beat the game (as in start a new one) and go through the actual dungeons. Of course, this can't officially start until you get your Ocarina back, but nevertheless, it is quite a challenge. You essentially speed through every area. Gamefaqs has a guide on how to achieve this here . You need to have every dungeon memorized and get your timing just right.

Oh it's just a speed run.. I like to explore and do sidequests so I don't normally do speedruns.
